Renewing Microsoft Certifications to retain your incentives!

Importance of Points and Incentives

Renewing your certification is crucial not only for keeping your skills up-to-date but also for maintaining the points required for Microsoft designations and incentives. These points can influence your status and benefits within Microsoft programs, which can significantly impact your career and professional opportunities.

Why Renew Your Certification?

Microsoft certifications, especially those at the Associate, Specialty, and Expert levels, expire after 1 year. This annual renewal encourages professionals to stay informed about technological changes and maintain their skills.

Renewal Process

The renewal process is straightforward and free. Here are the steps to follow:

  1. Connect Your Profiles: Link your Microsoft Learn profile to your certification profile and look for the renewal button.
  2. Refresh Your Skills: Prepare for the renewal assessment with free, self-paced modules available on your certification renewal page.
  3. Pass the Assessment: Take the free, online, unproctored assessment before your certification expires. The assessments are open book and focus on the latest technology updates.

Renewal Window

You can complete the renewal assessment at any time during your six-month eligibility window. Once passed, your certification will be extended for one year from the expiration date.
