Microsoft Unveils Major CSP and Copilot Updates to Accelerate Partner Growth in FY26

On May 1, 2025, Microsoft announced the latest enhancements and changes aimed at accelerating Cloud Solution Provider (CSP) growth in the era of AI and linked to the significant opportunity in the small medium enterprise and channel (SME&C) space.

On April 23, 2025, Microsoft made announcements related to the importance and opportunity with AI and the Copilot options it offers partners and customers:  

  • The latest findings from the 2025 Work Trend Index (WTI)
  • The introduction of groundbreaking M365 Copilot product capabilities that will completely change how individuals and organizations leverage AI with Microsoft 365 Copilot and Microsoft 365 Copilot Chat. 

Updates Include:

  • AI-powered Search to help users find information faster at work. 
  • A new Create experience built for business that unlocks design skills for everyone. 
  • Copilot Notebooks to turn content and data into instant insights and action. 

And a new Agent Store to easily find and access agents right in the flow of work.

Windows 365 Global promotional offer

Licensing and pricing changes for on-premises server products

Subscription editions of Exchange Server and Skype for Business Server will launch in July alongside a price increase on all on-premises server products. Prices for SharePoint, Exchange, and Skype for Business Server will increase by 10 percent, CAL suites by 15 percent, and ECAL suites by 20 percent. These price changes will affect all volume licensing programs on July 1, 2025, with SPLA effective January 1, 2026.
