From Microsoft Security Campaign to Deployment

Microsoft Security campaigns are designed to do more than raise awareness. Their real purpose is to help partners move customers from recognising risk to deploying protection. To support that journey, Microsoft provides a complete set of gotomarket, assessment and deployment tools that partners can immediately put to work.

This is what transforms a campaign into a repeatable sales and delivery motion.

Microsoft’s own Security Sales explains it here in 3,5 minutes: https://aka.ms/mscct

1. Starting the Conversation: Ready‑to‑Use Security Campaigns

Microsoft Security partner campaigns are available through the Partner Marketing Center and are aligned with the Security solution play.

Why this matters for partners:
You don’t have to create messaging from scratch. Campaigns are already aligned to Microsoft Security priorities and can be easily localised and personalised.

2. Targeting the Right Customers: Use Partner Center AI Business Solutions & Security Insights

In Partner Center, AI Business Solutions & Security Insights is a unified reporting dashboard that provides Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) reporting and data insights for customers, such as product usage, licensing, upsell opportunities, workload health, incentives, and referrals.

Within these insights, hundreds of signals such as marketing engagement, licensing, and usage are distilled into actionable insights at account level. These insights enable partners to make data-driven decisions for their organization, and to identify new opportunities for growing customer and business success.

3. Making Security Tangible: Immersion Briefings & Demo Environments

Once interest is triggered, partners must make security real and experiential. Microsoft offers two key tools here.

Security Immersion Briefings (SIBs)

Security Immersion Briefing kits allow partners to run interactive, scenario-based sessions with customers, simulating real attacks and security decisions.

Immersion briefings are available to partners who hold an active Microsoft Security Partner Designation. TD SYNNEX Belgium can run these briefings for you if you have not achieved your Security Partner Designation yet.

Each kit includes:

  • Email invitation and social media post templates.
  • Partner delivery guide.
  • A curated customer facing PowerPoint deck.
  • A guided exercise based on real-world incidents.

Perfect for early-stage customers who need clarity rather than deep technical detail.

Customer Digital Experiences (CDX)
The CDX Portal allows partners to spin up fully functional demo and lab environments for Microsoft Security solutions, without touching customer tenants.

TD SYNNEX has recently added Microsoft Security to its Cloud Labs offering. Partners  can request a demo here. Partners can use this platform as an alternative to CDX.

Ideal for:

  • Proof-of-concept sessions
  • Sales demos
  • Partner-led workshops
4. From Interest to Insight: Security Assessments

Campaign momentum must quickly convert into insight. This is where Microsoft Solution Assessments come into play.

Microsoft offers a portfolio of self-service and partner-led security assessments, helping customers understand risk and prioritise actions.

Examples include:

  • Cybersecurity risk assessments
  • Cloud Migrations
  • Modernize Applications
  • Copilot / AI readiness

Partner value:
Assessments create a natural transition from conversation to recommendation backed by your customer’s own data, not opinion. These assessments are funded 100% by Microsoft, so no cost for you as a partner.

5. Mapping Security to Solutions: Partner Playbooks & Solution Area

Once risks are clear, partners need structure. The Microsoft Security solution area provides:

  • Partner playbooks
  • Pitch decks
  • Use-case driven partner guidance

This content helps partners link customer pain points to solutions such as:

  • Microsoft Defender (endpoint, identity, email).
  • Microsoft Purview (data security and compliance).
  • Microsoft Entra (identity and access).
  • Microsoft Defender for Cloud and Sentinel (cloud infra and SIEM/SOAR).

Key advantage:
Partners can deploy a phased approach, prioritising identity and endpoint protection before expanding.

6. Accelerating Delivery: Security Deployment Accelerators

For partners who have achieved a Microsoft Security Specialization, Microsoft has introduced Security Deployment Accelerators, including CSP-focused accelerators for Defender and Purview deployments.

These accelerators:

  • Support structured, repeatable deployments.
  • Provide partners with an activity-based deployment fee.

Especially relevant for CSP partners scaling security services.

7. Proving Value: The Security Business Case Builder

Security conversations increasingly involve business stakeholders. Microsoft’s Security Business Case Builder helps partners quantify value and justify investments in non-technical terms.

Use this tool to:

  • Link security outcomes to business impact.
  • Support budget discussions.
  • Strengthen executive buy-in.

Check it out here.

8. Partner Incentives and Customer Promotions

Partner incentives: rewarding execution

Through the Microsoft Commercial Incentives (MCI) framework, Microsoft rewards partners across the customer lifecycle, with a strong focus on usage and outcomes, not one‑off transactions. For security partners, this typically includes:

  • Security Usage Incentives for deploying and driving adoption of Defender, Purview, Entra, and Sentinel.
  • CSP Security incentives for net‑new customers, seat growth, and workload expansion.
  • Activity‑based investments for structured engagements such as assessments and threat protection scenarios.

Customer promotions: accelerating deals

In parallel, Microsoft regularly introduces customer‑facing security promotions to lower adoption barriers, such as:

  • Temporary discounts on security workloads.
  • Trial‑to‑paid acceleration or commit tier offers.
  • Attach offers for security suites on Microsoft 365 Business Premium.

Turning Campaigns into a Scalable Partner Motion

Microsoft Security campaigns are not standalone marketing actions. They are designed to plug directly into:

  • Partner campaigns
  • Assessments
  • Proofs of concept

For partners, success lies in chaining these tools together into a repeatable motion, one that consistently turns awareness into protection.
