We often get asked how Lenovo product names are created and how to read them. To give you as an expert a head start with your customers, we’d like to provide a quick course based on the Lenovo ThinkPad E16 G6.
✔ Lenovo ThinkPad E16 G6 – The product name typically starts with the line-up, such as ThinkPad, ThinkBook, or V series. Each series caters to specific customer needs.
✔ Lenovo ThinkPad E16 G6 – Next, you’ll often see a letter representing the sub-series within the line-up. For example, the cloud-based ThinkPad L-series or the entry-level ThinkPad E-series. Not all line-ups have an underlying series, like the V-series.
✔ Lenovo ThinkPad E16 G6 – After the line-up and series, you’ll find the display size of the laptop in inches. For instance, a Lenovo V17 has a 17″ display.
✔ Lenovo ThinkPad E16 G6 – Finally, the product name often includes the generation of the device. This ensures that you’re offering your customer the latest devices. The generation name might be indicated as ‘Gen 4’ or ‘G4’.
